DocuMed believes that the human element of customer service cannot be replaced. One of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards of the industry is by ensuring the quality of the transcriptionists we employ. In addition to the more than 100 transcriptionists who currently do our work, we handpick a small group of 12-15 applicants each year to study in our School of Medical Transcription. These transcriptionists complete an additional period of rigorous training and internship to assure that they achieve the level of professionalism that we require for your transcription needs. DocuMed does not export any of its work to India or the Philippines, opting instead to provide our clients with the quality of finished work that native English speakers bring to medical records creation, as well the level of security offered by United States law. Curriculum includes: Medical knowledge: Anatomy and Physiology, Medical terminology... Clinical knowledge: Lab tests, pharmacology, surgery, imaging techniques... Technology: Computer skills, transcription platforms, e-research, file transfer... Ethical/Legal: Confidentiality, HIPAA, risk management, computer security...
